Bayaan Academy
Supplementary School for Qur’an and Islamic Teaching

Update - 28th March 2020

Bayaan primary and secondary classes

 ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

We are now all safely at home and our official Easter holidays have started for Bayaan Academy. In the interim, Bayaan Academy web site has been updated with some work to enable the students to continue with their learning.

I will be having zoom meetings with both primary and secondary teachers to work out how we can practically continue teaching and learning possibly over the next 3 months. Naturally there are some limitations but inShaaAllah I am confident that we will try our best to keep students updated via electronic means.

Meanwhile we make duaa that Allah swt keep us all protected and should you have any queries then please do not hesitate to text the Bayaan phone on: 07766 115 408.

وَعَلَيْكُمُ ٱلسَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

Our aim

We aim for pupils to have the skill to proficiently read the Qur’an, but it may not be necessarily completed by the time they leave the academy. Due to time constraints, the quality of reading and understanding is valued above the amount read.

  • Qur’an teaching – effective reading of Qur’an with rules (Tajweed) and memorisation of surahs and duas.
  • Islamic Studies teaching - the message, meaning and practice of Islam
  • Developing an Islamic character
  • Using innovative teaching methods to convey the message, meaning and practice of Islam.
  • Providing an environment of socialisation amongst other Muslim children
  • For some Secondary students the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification of Quran reading, endorsed by a leading accredited organisation.
  • Memorisation of the last Juz of the Quran for Secondary Students.
  • A two year study programme towards a GCSE in Religious Studies focusing on the Islam units for secondary students.
